We were blessed with our first litter of wire fox puppies in 1972 and enjoyed owning and loving our two (mother and daughter) dogs for ten years before the "show bug" hit us.  We finished our first champion, Henderson's Holiday Magic in 1984, who was the great granddaughter of our first wire fox terrier, Henderson's Honey Muffin, circa 1970.
Our children took an active part in junior showmanship and 4H dog events through the years as well.  One son, Greg Jr. is continuing to be active in WFTCCS committee work and along with his wife Chelsie, will be the strong future of Cedarbriar Kennels.  Currently the active duo is Greg Sr. and MerriLee Henderson.
MerriLee is a former President and member of the Wire Fox Terrier Club of the Central States  (WFTCCS).  This club is dedicated to the promotion and improvement of the Wire fox Terrier breed and produces some of most beautiful wire fox terriers in the world.
The Henderson's are and have been members of the following clubs: American Fox Terrier Club, Minnesota Purebred Dog Breeders's Association, Minneapolis Kennel Club, Cambridge MN Kennel club,  the Fox Terrier Club of Great Britain, and charter member of the Greater Twin Cities's Fox Terrier Club.
Please contact us with questions about any aspect of the breed. We’re always happy to hear from fellow dog lovers.
Pictured at left is Ch. Cedarbriar Reilly's Rugby, gaining his championship by earning a five point major at the first Greater Twin Cities Fox Terrier Club specialty show. This show is held yearly at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo, MN the third weekend in August.  We invite you to come!
